Element by Desalto

Fixed table available in different sizes, Element is a collection of disassembling tables with a steel base lacquered in white B62, black B59 or raw iron A66. The latter is achieved via a double coat lacquering followed by a further hand-made sanding treatment. The top is available in steel lacquered as the base. It can alternatively be finished with manual applications of resins enriched with micronised metal or marble powder in the colours of metal grey A90, metal rusty A91, metal bronze A92, marble court grey grey D62 and marble duomo D63. The collection has been lately enriched with the original stone finishes achieved by spreading the concrete by hand with a broad knife. Colours available are concrete Grey Luna D65 and concrete black D66. Tops in toughened glass are available in matt white E18. Tops in steel lacquered or finished metal, marble or stone are all 33mm thick. The round table tops in MDF are 30mm thick. The toughened glass tops 12mm. Element is a strong, poetic collection designed by the sensitive and visionary Japanese designer Tokujin Yoshioka. The heart of Element lies in the single central support, a metal parallelepiped that is reminiscent in its form of the minerals and quartzes found in nature, positioned at a slant, teetering between the base and the top as almost challenging the laws of gravity, magically suspended between earth and sky. This original project could have only be possible thanks to Desalto's long standing experience in the working of metals.  Here a selection of the finishes to look at.
