LEAD-TIME & SHIPPING
Most of our products are made in Italy and therefore they are shipped from this country. Lead-time refers to the time between initiation and completion to fabricate the products. Customers should note that Italian and some of other European manufacturers have annual shutdown periods, generally Christmas and August, that increase the lead-times.
Delivery times shown on this website include the lead-time to fabricate the product plus the time necessary to ship it to the UK. They do not apply in case of orders of goods made to customers' own specifications, made to size, or large quantities. All the delivery times are quoted from the day the orders have been placed and are to be treated as an approximate estimate based on current trading conditions. If, for any reason, delivery is delayed we do not accept liability of any consequential loss.
Products finished with glossy lacquer, veneer and laminates may take longer lead-times than the ones quoted on this website, so the final delivery time for these products need to be specified at the moment the order is discussed.
Prices on this website include delivery to UK mainland addresses only, unless if not specified otherwise. Customers should enquire about any other international delivery destinations available and their related cost. They should also be aware that they will be responsible for import duties and taxes that may be incurred.
Delivery included in the cost of the products on this website is meant as curbside delivery only. If required, we can offer the delivery to the room and the assembling/fitting. The charge for this additional services will be estimated according to the design and size of the furniture along the delivery address. The charge will not include allowance for removal of doors, windows or other fixtures, in any event. We recommend to check out our assembling & fitting terms here in conjunction with these notes. Customers should email at firstname.lastname@example.org to find out if the additional delivery to the floor and assembling/fitting services are available in their area.
Customers shall provide information about route and apply for any eventual permission for parking space to allow the delivery. It is customers' responsibility to ensure that the furniture they order can be delivered to/into their property and that there is a safe and reasonable access from the road to the place of delivery. If our drivers or delivery staff consider that the access is unsafe then we will not deliver the goods until safe access is provided. Charge may apply if the delivery needs to be rescheduled. Customers also should not have any doubts that the furniture will fit up stairways, through doors or any restrictive spaces, otherwise they should seek advice. We can offer an access check for specific items of furniture. This is £50 + VAT, but only within London M25. Customers should get in touch, if they require this service in any other area.
When goods are received into our warehouse in London, we will contact the customers to arrange the delivery. We aim to dispatch goods to the customers within 5-7 days of arrival in the warehouse. The delivery time may increase for destinations outside London. We deliver Monday to Friday. 48 hours notice must be given for cancellation of any arranged deliveries, failure to do so will incur a charge. Goods will be held for one week, free of charge, from the day they are available for delivery. Any storage time over and above this will be charged, and cost will be calculated on volume of goods at the rate of £8 + VAT per cubic metre, per week. Any half cubic metre in excess is calculated as an additional cubic metre. The charge are inclusive of the insurance to cover the goods in the event of damages. If, for any reason, the final delivery date is then delayed we do not accept liability of any consequential loss.
Unless if it's not our staff handling the delivery, this must be signed for and checked by the customer. Any claim regarding missing pieces or damages must be made within 48 hours of receipt of goods by a written claim. It will be within 3 days maximum, if the furniture received needs assembling or installation.
All delivered goods remain the property of maxdelucadesign in the case of accounts that have not been settled in full.
